I've had great mentors...

“I’ve had the good fortune of great mentors. Among these are Baba Olatunji for the drum, Scott O’neal for music theory and composition, Yogi Gene Pacelli for guitar and yoga. Thanks to Ramsey Ameen, Ted Dunbar, Shihib Leroy Nelson, John Lewis, Jaki Byard and Verna Gillis for sharing countless hours, years, etc. of their time on my behalf. I am blessed to have been born at a time when these people were living, working and teaching around the New York area.”
