Perhaps my proudest moment as a track coach. I took this group of young athletes to a track meet in Central Park, in the spring of 2004, after only 10 days of training. With about 1000 children running, all the FIREBIRDS finished in the top 20.  My team had the fastest girl and the 2nd fastest boy in the park. Despite the many trophies, medals and certificates I've earned as a competitive athlete, this day was the most special.
